Courtney Renee Cochran | Pilates & Choregraphy
Courtney Renee Cochran is a NYC based dancer, teacher, choreographer, and pilates practitioner. She has taught for institutions such as Dance Theatre of Harlem, Limon Dance, Mark Morris Dance Group, and American Ballet Theatre. Courtney was nominated for Dance Lab New York’s residency in collaboration with The Joyce Theatre where her work was featured at Works & Process at the Guggenheim. She later created a piece for Works & Process’ Artists Virtual Commission Series entitled From cage of teeth and jaw, which was awarded “Best Solo Performance” in Earl Mosley’s Dance is Activism Film Festival. Courtney has danced with Brooklyn Ballet, The Black Iris Project, Collage Dance Collective, Columbia City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem among others. Receiving her comprehensive pilates certification from Ellie Herman Pilates in 2019, she has taught fitness and wellness throughout the New York area.
